Big Breath

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 7 October 2026

Big Breath is made by Big Breath Publishing in Australia ("Big Breath", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what the Big Breath app and website collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect your email and your breathing progress, we never sell anything, and you can delete it all at any time.

1. What we collect

2. What stays on your phone

Your app settings (breathing timing, sound, vibration, colour, reminder times and your Pattern Interrupt apps) are kept only on your phone. Reminders are scheduled by your phone itself; you can turn notification permission off at any time in your phone’s settings.

3. Pattern Interrupt and Accessibility

If you turn on Pattern Interrupt, the app asks for Android’s Accessibility permission. It uses it only to notice when one of the apps you chose comes to the front, so it can offer one breath first. It can’t read what’s on your screen or what you type, and it doesn’t record or send which apps you use. You can turn it off at any time in Big Breath’s settings or your phone’s Accessibility settings.

4. Who we share it with

We use these services to run Big Breath, and they handle your information only on our behalf:

Their servers may be outside Australia. We don’t sell or rent your information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use advertising or tracking tools.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information until you delete your account. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at its bottom, without deleting your account.

6. Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your saved progress and removes your email from our mailing service. You can also email mick@bigbreath.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete it for you within 30 days.

7. Security

Information travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored with the providers above. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

8. Children

Big Breath is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you’re unhappy with how we handle it.

10. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. Questions and requests are welcome at mick@bigbreath.com.
